Welcome Your Second Spring

Chinese medicine honors menopause as a “second spring,” a time of renewed energy and wisdom. Personalized acupuncture, Chinese herbs, and lifestyle guidance help you work with hot flashes, sleep, mood, and vitality so you can feel like yourself again. If you are working with your doctor on hormone therapy or other care, acupuncture can be used alongside it.

A 12-week program combining weekly clinical acupuncture, Shibashi qigong lessons, and science-backed lifestyle guidance.

During each acupuncture appointment, we talk about what’s working in your body, adjustments to make, and how you’re implementing lifestyle changes.

Working With This Season

How Treatment Supports Your Second Spring

Every woman’s experience is different. These are common patterns we work with, and we adjust to your own needs.

Hot Flashes and Night Sweats

Cool and Nourish Yin

Treatment focuses on nourishing yin and clearing heat so hot flashes ease and nights become cooler. Lifestyle: less alcohol, spicy food, and late caffeine; a steady evening routine.

Sleep

Calm the Spirit

We calm the Heart and settle the spirit so sleep becomes deeper and more restful. Lifestyle: a consistent bedtime, screens off early, a gentle evening practice.

Mood and Clarity

Smooth Liver Qi

Irritability, low mood, and brain fog often reflect qi that isn’t flowing smoothly. Treatment calms and moves. Lifestyle: daily movement, time outdoors, breathwork or qigong.

Vitality and Strength

Kidney Essence

We support the Kidneys, the root of long-term vitality, to nourish energy, joints, and resilience for the years ahead. Lifestyle: strength-building movement, restful sleep, specific nutrition.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Acupuncture can be used alongside hormone therapy. Let me know what you’re taking so I can plan treatment and any herbal recommendations with that in mind.

In Chinese medicine, menopause is seen as a natural transition rather than a problem to fix. The energy that once went into monthly cycles can be redirected toward your own vitality, creativity, and wisdom. Treatment helps your body make that shift more smoothly.

That’s very common, and it’s never too late to begin. We’ll look at your whole picture and build a plan for where you are now.

Life happens. If you miss a week, we reschedule as soon as possible so we keep the momentum going.

The acupuncture program is $1,500 and stands alone. Herbs are recommended but optional. Herbal formulas are billed separately based on what your body needs.

We’ll have data. We’ll know what’s working and what isn’t. At that point, we can discuss next steps together, including adjusting the treatment plan or coordinating with your other healthcare providers.
